Scanners

A scanner is an optical input device that use light-sensing equipment to captures an image on paper or on other medium and converts it to a digital format. Image editing software can be used to compress and manipulate the image. OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software can convert word-based images to text documents. Several styles of scanners exist, including flatbed, feed and handheld.
