Internet Security

Internet security is the effort to regulate traffic on the public Internet so that only allowed actions can be performed. The goal of internet security is to stop hackers and other malicious computer users who are constantly dreaming up new schemes to exploit security flaws. For personal computer users, anti-virus software, spam filters, secure web browsers and personal firewalls are examples of security tools. For enterprises, network monitoring software, intrusion detection systems, encryption, PKI, and secure e-commerce software are methods of guaranteeing internet security.
